Cow farts never really get old, since cows are generally kept in well-ventilated areas. Also, they eat a homogeneous diet, so their farts smell pretty nice compared to, say, people and pig farts. Dogs are probably the worst.
However, research has shown that humans tend to interpret smells as more pungent and unpleasant when they're wearing their cranky pants.
The old family dog could clear a room. When you saw him suddenly start to lumber up the steps, you knew something bad was coming. Best actual response: "oh my god, it's stinging my eyes!"
